Boca Raton 05/05/2009 - Florida-based commerce systems integrator, CyberOptic Group, announced today its newly acquired status as an IBM Business Partner authorized to resell IBM open system hardware including PC servers and high performance disk storage subsystems, tape libraries, and SAN switches.

This new announcement marks CyberOptic Group's entry into the computer hardware sales arena. Although CyberOptic Group has been making computer hardware recommendations for its clients since its inception, it has largely steered clear of hardware vendor alliances in order to maintain its vendor neutrality as an open systems company.

When asked about this change in direction, Castleman responded, "The fact is, as an open source company we are vendor neutral, you can run these applications on numerous platforms, and we don't dictate to our customers which they must use."
