A business process is a set of related, structured activities that are performed by people and systems as part of delivering a product or service. These processes are critical to any organization as they generate revenue and often represent a significant percentage of operating costs.

Back Office BPM solutions enable system-to-system integration where a single process may depend on multiple external processes, possibly from multiple disparate applications and operating systems to complete.
